Okay #1, I'm home alone right now and kind of milking it! I can laugh at movies as loud as I can and still get away with it! My dad's in the hospital and my mom is visiting him. I hope she'll be back soon, though.

And #2, last Friday I took my friend to Holden Karate School's Back to School Buddy Bash. It was so much fun! First we did a little warm-up, then played some running games, then had some delish Holden pizza (I can still taste it !), then did this obstacle course. Some of the kids watched the movie The Incredibles, but I didn't, 'cause I've seens it a jillion times. Then we did this game Sensei Says, which is just like Simon Says except it's karate moves.

Another game we did was The Attention Game. It was were we had to stand still and nit laugh when the teachers and older students tried to make us laugh. I tried not to laugh, but one of the teachers tricked me by asking me a question and I totally fell for it!! 

And then we had a raffle where every person at the party gets a ticket, and when their ticket number is called they win something. I won the chance to break a real wooden board with my hand this Friday, and Alina won the same thing right after I did!

Guess what? Guess what?! My friend Anna got a pet Russian tortoise at the beginning of the summer. And she let me babysit it for 2 whole weeks! The tortoise is a boy, and when we take him out for walks he's so fast my Dad calls him Speedy. I wanted to get a pet tortoise of my own later, but I wouldn't want to walk him and my parents wouldn't have time, so I decided on a frog/toad or a snake. But my mom doesn't like snakes and you have to feed a frog/toad crickets. Ew. SO maybe I'll just get a chihuahua. It doesn't need to hang out outside much (unlike a German Shepherd, for instance), so it won't bring in fleas or ticks. And it doesn't stare at the window all day like a cat does. 'Course it does chew up shoes sometimes...

Trampoline & mp3 Player & Party & Pool & Dentist Appointment

1. I finally got that trampoline today! My parents ordered it at the beginning of July after I experienced the magic at the 4th of July party. When it came (the 2 boxes it was in weighed like 100 lbs. each), Dan, Mom, and Dad started putting it together. But then they made a mistake and had to start all over and reassemble it!

2. I got a bike and mp3 player the day before my 10th birthday! 

3. Anna Myakushin invited me to her birthday party on Saturday... once again!

4. Alina and I recently went to the Holden Pool (and then to Blue Jeans pizza). But she was no fun -- she didn't go in the water all that much.

5. On July 13, Dad thought I had a dentist appointment, so we went to Dr. Rao's. But it turns out we got the numbers wrong! It was on July 31! So, I can rest easy for a few more days. (No wonder we got the numbers wrong -- 1-3 and 3-1 are very alike!) Plus, another mistake I made is: ... (drumroll, please) I went in my slippers! Oh well, at least nobody noticed! 

PS: I also got a pretty bracelet and some colorful hair extensions recently!

Dear Diary,

I went to my older brother's friend's 4th of July party near a beautiful lake. There was a trampoline, a barbecue, a dock that went into the water, two nice boys named Liam and Luke (and a whole lot of other people), and MOSQUITOES!!! Luckily, my mom sprayed me with anti-bug spray. But I still got bitten.  *scratches mosquito bite*

Since I was riding in my brother's car, the ride to the party was kind of uncomfortable (I'm more comfortable in my parents' car). 

I kinda sat there in my brother's car playing with my Nintendo DS for a while, but then, I decided that I didn't want to let that day be the worst Fourth of July ever. So I finally came out and had fun.

The trampoline was my favorite part. I bounced and bounced and bounced and bounced and bounced...(feel free to stop me when you get bored)...and bounced and bounced and bounced and bounced (anytime now!)... You know, after you stop bouncing on a trampoline and get back on solid ground, your feet feel weird. I know by experience!

The view of the lake from the dock was beautiful. And if you walk towards the end of the dock and stand there for a while, it feels like you're floating away from the shore. 

Hmm, what else did they have there? Oh yeah! The hammock! It was so relaxing. I settled down all cozy-like in it and played with my Nintendo DS, thinking about stuff.

You know, at first, my parents wanted me to just go with my brother, but when I called for them to pick me up and they came, THAT'S when I decided I didn't want to go home early. So then my parents didn't want to stay, but I convinced them not to leave, so I ended up enjoying the party, and so did my parents. Yay!

We forgot to take the camera with us, so I don't have any pictures of the experience. Aw.

I got home at like 9:30 and went to bed at like sometime close to 11:00.

The fireworks were so pretty how they reflected on the water!

crappity crappity crap. i forgot to write a birthday blog on my birthday. i'll probably still write one on my mom's birthday (i kinda promised her), but that'll be it. no more birthday blogs. (i know, i've got a busy schedule lately so i cant make any promises too big. actually--my schedule isnt that busy. i'm just lazier than ever now that i'm 10. you'd think i'd be more responsible, but nope!  tee-hee.) 

plus, on father's  day, i gave my dad a snowglobe that i picked out myself. it had a daddy dancing with his daughter in it! aww!
